Artifacts and Writing Samples
This provides writing samples from the different courses in the Pathway program.
Here are a list of artifacts and writing samples from various courses:
1. PROV 504
The research paper on “Plagiarism” in the PROV 504 course introduced us to the concept of plagiarism and the Western academic culture. Plagiarism concept in Western culture is related to “intellectual property” and “academic integrity” where they are accepted with utmost respect. The research paper helped us understand the causes of plagiarism and how we can develop strategies to avoid plagiarism in Graduate school.

2. EAP 508
The analytical summary of an article in the EAP 508 course helped us analyze the articles and explore key concepts, rhetorical elements and language pattern of the article. This helped us get accustomed to the Western style of academic English writing and to critically analyze a situation.

3. CS 531
In the CS 531 course “Fundamentals of System Programming”, we were introduced to the application of C programming concepts in System programming in a UNIX environment and deal with complex functionalities of the system architecture. This helped me critically analyze the various functionalities of the system architecture and thus develop our professional skills in our field of study.
